The predecessor of the applied research lab in the treatment of burns is the Tissue Preservation Lab - Department of Embryonic Tissue - Military Medical Academy.
In 1993, Labo merged into the Institute of Ministry (J11) - National Institute of Burns.
On November 12, 1998, Colonel, Dr. Pham Quang Ngoc is the director of the Research Laboratory applied in the treatment of burns (according to the decision of the Military Medical Academy No. 24/CGD).
On April 19, 2001, Dr. Nguyen Huu Trung was appointed as the Deputy Dean of the Department of Laboratory according to Decision No. 05/CGD).
July 2003: Lieutenant Colonel, Doctor Nguyen Huu Trung is in charge of the Laboratory of applied research in burn treatment according to Decision No. 04/CGD dated July 8, 2003.

LA-BO'S MISSION
Research, application and production of biofilms for burn treatment.
Currently: Laboratory is the place to produce and supply biofilms from frog skin - serving enough and having a reserve for the treatment of the Institute.
Implement the ministerial-level project "Research and application of deep cold technology to preserve fresh pig skin dermis used in the treatment of burn wounds".
Implement the thesis on the basis of the Protocol of Conformity with the Russian Federation approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2004-2006.
Research cooperation on the application of fibroblast culture technology in the treatment of burn wounds.
Achievements since its establishment
Prepare 2 textbooks for Tissue Banking major.
Compose 2 sets of textbooks for postgraduate specialties in trauma and eye burns. Each course consists of 12 theory periods.
Lectures over 140 times for foreign doctors after graduation at schools: Military Medical Academy, Thai Nguyen Medical University...
Guide 4 PhD students to successfully defend their Master's thesis, 1 PhD student to defend their PhD thesis. 2 PhD students working on doctoral theses.

Propagate
Propaganda (television, radio and newspapers) in the “Gift of Life” community. Received nearly 1,000 letters of volunteering to donate tissues, organs, and bodies upon death.

"Research on preservation and use of grafts" on a national scale at the Military Medical Academy in 1990, 1994 and at the Ministry of Health in 1996, attended by foreign experts.
